“I’m a photographer who’s work focuses on portraiture. I work primarily in film, although l do shoot digital from time to time. I like to play around with objects, lighting, and identity. The identity portion is particularly important to me because the majority of my subjects are people I know, and often people of color. Growing up in Sacramento has had a heavy influence on me not only as an artist, but as a person in general. It’s a pretty diverse place and I’ve carried that with me throughout college. Diversity is an important part of my artistry, so I try to be really conscious of it.”
